Tabloids and Their Counterparts

09:38 Jun 30 2013
Times Read: 318

Well readers, I have finished the short story of my supernatural life... for now. I know some people haven't been sure if my entries are actually events in my life, or just a story, because I wrote them in the "Stories" section. Well the truth is that they are events of my real life starting with my awakening, and leading to the present. Please read from the oldest post to the newest post to get the full story as it is written here. I would apreciate coments, and questions, if anyone has them. Thank you. Please don't be shy.

If you think I should continue writing, let me know. I could always go into more detail about something, or I could talk about some of the things that I skipped/glazed over. Your questions and coments will give me more ideas, so please feel free to pose/post them. Untill next time.

Humbly,

Noctum

The Knight, The Noble, and The Order

That year went by with relatively no incidences. I didn't get into any physical fights, though I got close once or twice, and I had made many friends through my choir classes, and my old friends. The seasons flew by as the year progressed, and I constantly felt that regardless of how fast it had seemed to be going, I just couldn't wait for the year to end. Demonia (my pagan/witch friend) and I had been eager all year to put in a lot of practice time over the summer, and to learn from one another. She was so curious, and cautious, yet driven to learn about her vampiric side/potential. We had our ups and downs, but by the end of the year we were committed to committing a large amount of our time over summer break to training.

However, before we could really get serious about training, there were a few things that needed to be taken care of, and straightened out. Namely, we needed an official name for the group, and Stark and I had decided that now was the time to make an initiation. It just felt right when we talked about some kind of initiation for each dedicated (and full) member.

We spent a couple of weeks talking about it. We talked about the idea of it. We talked about its meaning, and what would be required of a member of the group before they could do it. We talked about when, and what order in which, and how they would do it. We often talked to start really planning and making it, but would run into a problem such as "We really need to get together and talk about it", or "If I could have it written out in front of me...", and so on. We worked on details, and ideas of it, but it wasn't until I got some help from my Mom that we had our first major breakthrough on the joining ritual.

She suggested materials, and where we could get them. She had a ritual in mind, really an idea of a ritual, that seemed to have been mulled around in my Mom's mind a lot longer than the ritual had been in mine... That's just conjecture though. She described steps and actions of a possible ritual, much like describing the body paragraphs of an essay. Stark and I talked and talked, and over the span of three to four days, we had our final draft, revised version, edited and approved, joining ritual.

We had resolved that our group would not just be a group, but that we would be an order. We are Ordo Noctum, the Order of the Night, and we had made giant leaps of progress for the Order.

At one point we had 6 people in total to the order, but in all that time one had a discriminating mother who denied her a friendship over something absolutely stupid, and another has been going through some major family problems, and is too busy lately to be a part of the Order. So that left Stark, myself, Demonia, and the newest recruit.

When I move (which will roughly be in a month), Stark will have the choice to either take leadership of the Order, and teach them all himself, or to disband it if he doesn't feel ready to take them on as his students. I know him, and I know that he is almost ready. Now is the time for action. Now is the time for decision. Now is the time to teach him all I can before I leave, and to help him in any way I can. The only thing left for him to do before he is ready to lead the Order is for him to realize and believe that he is ready. ...

Soon we shall meet, all of us for the first time, and he will sense the group, and make his decision for the first time. If he decides to stick with them, then we start the intense training, and joinings. It's up to him, as to whether or not the Order lives on, because when I am gone it will be up to him to either lead it or not. I will not try to force any decision on him, but I will do my best to make sure that whatever he decides, it's not because he feels insufficient. Soon we will have our meeting, and soon he will decide the fate of Ordo Noctum... I don't expect you to be reading this, Stark, but I have absolute faith in you, and will support whatever decision you make, and will support you whatever decision you make. Focum, Vinculo, Ordinis.

A Message: a Visage Brought to Reality

10:07 Jun 26 2013
Times Read: 343

So it was two years after I started high school that I found myself in need of a new setting. My apprentice was two years older than me, and was graduating that year. He was among the first of the seniors of that school to ever exist, let alone graduate. The school itself was new, it was a magnet academy (fancy way of saying that they had more funding to pine after the highest test scores, and to give us pathways to focus on in our school). This school had two pathways (Performing Arts, and engineering), and Stark and I were both in Performing arts. He played Beast in the "Beauty and the Beast", and I played Lefou. Needless to say, he left with a bang. It was a small school, everyone knew everyone, and with him gone, and me already starting to get into fights, I decided it was time for a change in school.

The summer before I started at my new school I had a dream. In this dream I was at a strange school, and I had met a rather... different teacher. She was a school teacher, but I came to find that she was also a witch. I watched her as she manipulated water as they do in the show "Avatar".

(Three facts so far: New school. At this school I met a witch. This Witch's element was water.) I introduced a couple of my friends to her, and figured that it was very cool that there was a teacher at my new school who was a witch. After school that day, there was an area in the back of the school where some students walked to go home, and I was one of those students.

Out of nowhere shadows... shades appeared, and quickly started grabbing students and taking them off. These shades seemed to wear shadow as long, black cloaks, and they ran so gracefully, it was as if they were gliding upon the ground with such control that it matched that of their will. As one of these shades grabbed a student in front of me, it looked at me. It's eyes shone bright red in the setting of it's dark face. It had razor sharp teeth to it's demonic smile. That's what it looked like to me... a demon.

I ran over to the direction that they were taking the students, and I came to this gated area of the school. Within the gates, there were shades on top of a student... feeding on him. However these shades had changed, and it seemed that their true forms were much more human than I had thought. They were obviously not humans at all, but they were Vampires.

Just then, my attention was stolen by two more vampires who had grabbed me, and were about to take me, when I shouted "No! You don't want my blood, I'm like you. I'm a Vampyr." The teacher that I had met earlier walked into sight, and ordered the Vampires to let me go. Then she had them bring another student in front of me. They asked me if he was a Vampyr too. I knew this was a test, and that if I saved him, then they wouldn't trust me, and would probably try to kill me.

I placed my hand on his chest, his body was hot, and he was terrified. The two Vampires had him between them, their unbeatable grip held him still, as they had him by each arm. He was helpless, and completely at my mercy. In our dreams, we are often impulsive, and though it was not what would be in my heart (were that to really happen), at that moment there was only one thing in my heart : Survival. "No, he's not. He's human."

The Vampires smiled maniacally just before they took him behind me and inside the gated area with a speed, and eagerness, that sickened me. What sickened me more was the regret that I felt for having sacrificed him for myself. That sickness was only amplified when I felt his blood jet out, and splatter against my back. The witch came up, and revealed a metal necklace that she wore, in the shape of Vampire fangs. The fangs were sharp, sharp enough for her to take my arm and cut it with. She had marked me, for loyalty. It was her way of showing favor. The Vampires were not just a few, but a large group of them, she was their leader, and she had just inducted me.

After that, she took me to her master. He saw this as a sign of insolence, and betrayal. He struck her, and she fell at his feet. He was tall, dark (which had nothing to do with his skin tone), and menacing. The other Vampires were nothing compared to him. Their dark, and evil, aspects only fractionally reflected that of his. From the ground the witch looked at me, not daring to stand. The dream ended with him staring at me.

When I got to school, on the first day, I met an old friend from junior high. She was going by a new name from when I had known her, and as we were talking, I noticed something interesting. She was wearing a necklace that had the pentagram on it. I asked her what her religion was, and she told me she was a pagan. She told me that she was a practicing witch, and that her element was water. I told her about my dream, and that I was Vampire, and she said that that was awesome because she was a sanguinarian as well as a witch, and that she was looking to be a part of a group, and/or gather a circle for her craft.

She had necklace that reflected her practice, she was a witch, her element was water, and she was looking to be a part of a Vampire group, and a witch's circle, oh, and I met her at my new school... Not everything from the dream was the same as, or even similar to, what happened in real life, but there were way to meany details that were for me to believe that this was a coincidence. However I felt in the dream, this was my friend, and I trusted her deeply. She was not about hurting people, and I knew that. So we went on, talking and growing closer... not only as friends, but also as Kindred brother and sister. That was when we picked up where we left off on our friendship, and began our relationship within the group...
